6th Grade Beginning Band

 

Weekly Rehearsal Schedule:

All students will come to band daily for first hour :)

 

Beginning Band is a yearlong course and commitment and is a unique and exciting opportunity to learn a musical instrument and to learn to read music. Students have the opportunity to begin a lifetime of music learning and enjoyment as a performer as well as a listener. Playing a musical instrument teaches the learner about more than just music.  More importantly, it teaches self discipline, accountability, self expression, teamwork, leadership, and problem solving that is easily understood by the 6th grade student.

 

We are going to have SO MUCH FUN this year!

 

These materials are required for class daily:

• Pencil

• Essential Elements 2000 Book 1 (ordered by me - $9 or $14 for percussion)

• Instrument 

• Supplies (cork grease, valve oil, slide grease, spray bottle (trombone), reeds, etc. – Anything required for your instrument to work!)
